its a shame that a powerful render engine such as arnold doesn't even have transparency in both toon shader and flat shader, we work with textures and alphas all the time and a shader without them is completely useless.
and using transmission as a transparency remove base color and sheen ... its just doesn't work Dx Dx

As a workaround, what about the solution suggested in https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/maya-shading-lighting-and/opacity-glitching-with-arnold-toon/td-p/103... of sending the toon output to another shader that can do opacity?
