Arnold Render and IPR freeze when using Noise Modifier

Hi Arnold Community and Autodesk Support,


I hope that Arnold support see this, because it is a crucial issue that wasn’t fixed for over than 5 years now with Arnold.

 

We always use Arnold for big productions, but whenever we render with Arnold after adding Noise Modifier to the camera to have camera shake, the render freezes forever and we have to close 3ds Max with Task Manager. The IPR of Arnold freezes as well forever. 

We made the community try the same on their PCs and they had the same exact issue. It is not the problem of 3ds Max at all. It is 100% from Arnold. We added Noise Modifier to the Camera, then we tested to render with Corona, Vray, Octane and Redshift renderers, and we had no issue everything rendered perfectly.

 

We know how to avoid this problem with Arnold by using Noise in Motion Tab (not Noise Modifier), but Noise Motion Tab never gives the same quality of noise like Noise Modifier, it is so limited and not usable.

 

Looking forward to the reply of Arnold support because this issue is terrible and it has priority to be fixed.

Never considered this!

Add an Arnold Properties Modifier and then the Noise, then it works. However, it's only moving the camera, it does not distort the rendered image.

We reported this issue 3 years ago to Autodesk Support and we were waiting for every update of Arnold to fix this issue for 3 years but no information about it till now. We lost hope then I have decided to write here as my last resort.

 

It is crucial because we do cinematic always for movies and games. And after we work for weeks and months, we cannot render in the end because of that bug. I hope that you can pass this issue to your colleagues as a priority to be fixed.
