check if a point lies within a loop

Hi, i'm trying to figure out if a point lies within a loop.

The loop is the outer loop of a face and the point is the center point of an arc that forms one edge of the the face. So the point will definitely be on the same plane.

The question is similar(ish) to this http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/api-and-scripts/checking-whether-a-2d-point-lies-within-a-flat-surface... but this only fugures out if it's on the same plane.

Anyone know of anything that can do this?

Hi Harry,

The code in the last reply from Brian (which now I also published on the blog) not only checks if the point is on the same plane, but also if it's in the area of the face.

Did it not work for you like that in case of your model? 😕

Cheers,
