This is my suggestion from my gut feeling, I feel if autodesk drops its subs to $20per month per seat for MAYA , i think they can see 5mn artists buyin that subs gladly and Autodesk can see $1bn sales revenue per month. $12bn a year.
there are milions of artists who are using blender which is free and becoming very robust. but Maya has its own USPs and those who want to buy but its **** pricey no one wants to buy it. ofcourse corporates have t buy it , freelancers ...u guessed it. But it the price is so cheap everyone will buy it no matter what.
MAYA will become more valuabel than ever. tapping on the market which is still undiscovered.
I have this gut feeling from verylong time. you can just give it a try for six months and see if i am wrong.
there are so many strategies i keep coming up with, where brand penetration is must. Maya is an incredible software,its like an iphone of animation.
