Windows 10 - No AltGr-Keys in ObjectLister

Hello there,

i can not enter AltGr combi keys like ²³@€{[]}\~| into the layer name bar in the object lister. This only occures on the Windows10 OS.

I can enter some of those Keys into the layer bar. See Screenshot.

is this fixable somehow?

I like to use the pipe symbol | to make layer names clearer.

Thank you for helping...

You can enter all kinds of characters in for layer names in the Object Lister or layer bar, however naming of objects is much more restrictive.

Hello Bob,

but your screenshot does not show any AltGr Keys. Its just Shift and normal keys on my keyboard.

I assume you used a traditional American keyboard?

Thinking of this i exhumed an old keyboard that I believe came with our 320s in the last millennium.

These keyboards have no third assignment.

A few years ago i switched to a German keyboard. I need the blue combinations.

In case you use something like this American keyboard layout and the AltGr workes fine, it must be something with the German keyboard driver.

It worked fine with Windows 7, but it does not work with W10.

So i hoped somebody would have a software solution for this allready.

I actually dont want to switch back to the huge paleo-keyboard 😉

Thank you for helping to find the core of the problem...

Regards
