waiting for connection from renderer

When I try to render my file, I get the message "Waiting for connection from renderer...". Does anyone know what this means? I'm using Autostudio 2017. Thank you.

@Anonymous Is it rendering using directrender ?

Try checking your anti-virus / firewall application, if they are blocking some ports which Alias needs open for rendering.

Also reinstalling could be a simpler method to try first.
