Unselectable "gost" surfaces

Hi! It's probably a simple question for most of you users. If I delete a fillet and then untrim the surfaces, it somtimes leaves a kind of unselectable ghost surface behind. Can some one explain how to get rid of them or do I have to live whit it? (I´m new to Alias)

@Anonymous Can you share your model or part of model ? Guess, would be easier for folks here to check your model and suggest potential workarounds.

Other things that could help:

  • check and maybe share your options for creating those kinds of fillets
  • does that happen on fillets that have been created with the same options or is it just sometimes with the same options?
  • how do you delete the fillets (simple pick surface and hitting DEL or different?)
  • did you check the object lister and maybe the layer that those surfaces have then been assigned to?

I cannot reproduce this and can´t remember that I experienced this before.

Cheers

Marc

Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm sorry that I can't share the file that I'm working on in public.

Light green color is by default another file that's open in the background.

Right below the File Edit Delete menu bar, there's a button which stays Stages.

If you hold down the mouse button on it, you can switch to different files.

Otherwise, my only guess is that you've set a layer to reference and changed the default reference color.

Sorry to have taken your time about this issue.

I restarted Alias Design and the problem was gone. Must have been a graphic problem.

I'm using Alias Design Release 2016 SP2 HF1.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I’ve only imported a step-file and it shows as normal. Restarted the software and the ghost surface was gone.
