unable to export in .obj format

I have my alias autodesk file in .wire format, I tried to export it in other formats such as .obj, but unfortunatly the only format that shows up when I try to export is the .wire. Pleas help me.

You are on the right path, but you have to open the option panel of File>Export>ActiveAs tool.

In the option panel you can select the format you want to use for saving. Have a look at my screenshot.

thanks, i found the solutions, but unfortunatly when i opened the file on rhinoceros, the surfaces that were trimmed exploded as non trimmed

There are no untrimmed/trimmed surfaces in OBJ files, which is a triangle mesh format. You also did not say that you needed to export the file to Rhino. If that is the goal, then use the STP format.
