The Project Curve tool seems to be broken in AutoStudio 2022.2.
With previous versions, I would always have the "view" option selected when projecting curves, however I could easily override this on the go, by typing any of the x,y, or z vectors, to project in the desired direction. This was super useful when selecting multiple curves to project at once, and greatly sped up my modeling process as I could tumble the camera to select all curves, press one key, hit enter, and I would have my curves projected in the desired x, y, or z direction.
However, in my current version (AutoStudio 2022.2), it doesn't matter what vector (x,y,z) I type, as soon as I hit enter, nothing happens and still projects in view. This means that every time I want to project a curve, I have to select it, position my camera in an orthographic view, and then click project. Not only is it annoying, but it is also negatively impacting my modeling speed and workflow.
I reset my user and tool preferences, and the issue still persists. Any idea how to solve this?
Thank you very much.
I just tested this in 2022.2 and it is working correctly. Can you check if you have single hotkeys turned ON....if you have single hotkeys ON you will need to hit tab before typing the X Y or Z...hitting tab activates the prompt line so it can accept keyboard input. In addition you could open the project the control window and select X Y or Z directly.
