New objects/surfaces not displaying in shaded mode

Hi,

This is something that's been bugging me a little bit as I can't see to figure out the reason and solution. Every time I create a new solid object or a surface, or use any tools to create surfaces (fillet, etc.), they always display in wire mode and I have to shade them to see. Is this something I accidentally enabled as a feature? in any alias video that I watch this does not happen. The annoying part is that most of the time I think a tool has failed as the new surface isn't displayed in shaded. Would be awesome to resolve this one!

What version of Alias are you running?

Running 2022 version. But I got my answer already from someone. They said to use the hardware shade mode to have this feature.

There are two primary shaded mode in Alias.  Hardware Shade (also referred to as Toggle Shade) and Diagnostic Shade.

By default, Diagnostic Shade only acts on selected objects (or if nothing is selected, it works on all the currently visible objects in the scene).  We have recently added a "New Objects" option to Diagnostic Shade that you can turn on.  This will shade newly created objects once you have enabled Diagnostic Shade.

Hardware Shade by default shaded all geometry but there is a checkbox in the options that you can disable if you would prefer it to work more like Diagnostic Shade.

Please refer to the documentation for either mode for more information.
