There are a few things that I'm finding that I really am baffled that they're still an issue in 2020, and should be looked into. Let's see if you agree!
1. Trimming a surface should NOT affect aligned surfaces to any of its CoS. I'm sick of trimming and finding an attached fillet siphoning down to my new trim edge. I swear this wasn't the case in the past. This is a simple thing that has me infuriated on daily basis.
2. Why does undo still suck??? Undo should work for anything that does not have history...that simple. Why can't I undo the extension of a surface? Why is the undo history so fragile when moving or deleting objects? Use one menu or tool and undo is GONE. I get that having history makes certain aspects of an undo system complicated. But come on.
Just a couple things I'm fed up with as someone in the industry that uses this 8 hours a day. Anybody noticing these things? I wish they would be fixed! Forget new features, forget SubD (it's cool), get the simple stuff right first!!
One final idea for future versions if it's possible?
Find a way to be able to immediately kill a tool with "esc" when it's clearly overloaded, like when you align to the wrong surface, or have a fillet edge-align way too far on one side. Or when you hit CHECK MODEL accidentally!!!!
The lack of a proper undo like in Rhino is a big mystery and since long one of the major deterrants for novices, apart from other issues, like not being able to simply type in the name of a tool to be used or the object lister not even having a new layer menu item. Perplexing. Things like no proper undo infuriate even the experienced user.
Apparently Icem users are complaining about the same undo issues in their package as well.
