About Alias on M1/M2 Apple processors, you can have a look at this topic covered some times ago

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/alias-forum/alias-running-on-m1-pro-just-a-few-problems/td-p/10930496

There are a lot of good informations and a final recap with a list of still pending issues: up to you to decide if they are too bad for your usual workflow or not.

About VRED, I don't have any reliable information but I guess the situation could be much harder.

You can still run 2018 or 2019 version on m1 atleast as for finding the dmg files you can try contacting Autodesk support and ask for a link to old ver of alias autostudio in a chat this comes with alias and vred both. Or message me on private I have the dmg files.

You can following steps below that help you to fix issue:

  1. Visit the Autodesk Education Community website and sign in with your educational access credentials.
  2. Navigate to the software section and locate Alias and VRED.
  3. Download the installer files for both applications.
  4. Once the download is complete, open the installer files and follow the on-screen instructions to install Alias and VRED on your MacBook.
  5. After the installation is finished, you should be able to find Alias and VRED in your Applications folder.
  6. To create an alias, simply right-click on the application icon, select "Make Alias," and place it wherever you want for easy access.
