How can I offset a chain of curve together without any gaps?

The first image is the tutorial, and it showed a process that offset a chain of curves without any separation, and I followed the step as the tutorial showed, but my outcomes was like the image 02, they were separated, anyone can help me with this? Thanks!

Because your curves need to be tangent continuous each other and they don't seem to be.

@raymondguo_cgi, I introduced two new offset tools (Curve Offset & Surface Offset) some years ago, to overcome the limitations of the old offset tool. So I would always recommend to use them.

Yes, this is correct. Imagine those CVs moving normal out from their own direction. If they're not at least tangent they will separate. If you align them at least Tangent on either side the offset curves will at the very least be connected.
