CV snap ocasionally does not work properly

You know the drill - you want to make a surface G2 over the symmetry plane and move to ortho view to CTRL+MMB, CTRL+RMB snap (Snap vertically, horizontally) a CV in place (so that they are positioned over each other in the side view), but then you rotate the model and it had CTRL+LMB Snapped (Snap to Point). You try a different view and it usually works.

I've been recently having more and more problems with this. Is this a matter of settings or tolerances?

I'm not sure why you're having the snapping problem, but Symmetry Plane Align is more reliable for this kind of thing...of course, this means your approach will have to change a little bit.

Don't know - it's on and off. But the Sym Align is not really a solution, since the symmetry axis is only one of the examples where I need this. Thanks anyway.

Interesting...I don't think I have ever placed CVs in the perspective view. For me, it's usually any of the other views.

That's what I meant. Naturally - I don't use 4 views, just one 'Perspective with ortho faces'.

The issue is with the LMB, MMB snapping (horizontal/vertical). It only works in the side view.

Do you think the issue could be with the mouse (or mouse settings)? What kind of mouse is it? Ive followed these forums for many years and have never heard of this happening. Try a diffeent mouse just to see if that may be the probem.

Logitech G600. A mouse many Alias users use. It definitely is not the issue.

It's a mildly annoying bug. It doesn't only happen to me (that's how I know the switch view solution).
Usually switching from one view (like TOP) to another (RIGHT) solves it. But I was wondering if there's something I could do.

I think most bugs have sth do with the cache. Sometimes I restart Alias if a bug is reoccuring and it solves the issue.
