Comparing animation tools in Alias Auto Studio and Alias design

Hello, I'm an industrial designer and I need to buy Alias for my Company.

I spotted differences between Auto studio version and Design version, specially regarding Animation tools.

As you can see in the first attached picture (auto studio version) the object bends itself following the curve.

In the second one (design version) it doesn't.

I guess is the FLOW function which is not present in the design version.

I need to create and animate some training lessons in electrical field, such as wiring and switches (on/off), screwing actions etc.

Right now I'm using 2012 version of Alias, but my company wants to buy the latest version.

Could anyone let me know the most considerable differences between Auto studio and Design version regarding animation tools please.

I couldn't find anything on internet.

Appreciate any help.

Thank you so much

Andrea

Hi @Anonymous,

I don't think there are significant changes in Animation Tools from older versions. AutoStudio has all the features we develop in alias range of products. So you can safely buy AutoStudio.

In my opinion, if you are specifically looking for animation tools, you may like to explore Maya or Max, which are designed for advanced animation options. Trial version of Maya and Max are available through our website.

Alias is not targeted for creating animation primarily.
