Alias to NX Translation Error

Not applicable

Hello,

I'm trying to save my file in NX format but when I do I get the following error message:

"Translation of, (my filename), failed due to an unknown error (-1066598274)."

Even (1) single surface gives me the same error message.

Any insight will be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

I just checked this and its the same with me (Surface 2016).

Tried changing the Construction Options to Unigraphics and both selecting and deselecting all export options. Same error every time. 😕

For a quick fix I would recommend a step export.

Could you tell me - I'm curious, because I heard of similar requirements before - what is the difference between exporting a file to .prt and to .stp/.igs? Why isn't it all the same for you?

One of my favourite formats in NX is .x_t (small and powerful), which Alias unfortunately doesn't support.
One of my favourite functions in NX is the Synchronous Modeling toolbox, which allows you to work on 'dead' parts quite well. Granted - it will be infinitely more a pain in the **** if you have a freeform part, but there are not many alternatives, since any part exported to anything other than a .wire will be a 'dead' part...
