Alias 2017 Object Lister is blank missing invisible

I've just updated from 2015 to 2017 and when opening the object lister found it blank, the whole section is missing apart from the tab.

I suspect it's an accumulative error or something related to preference settings or inherited over from 2015 (it was behaving oddly in 2015), but no I only see the tab sidebar and the open page is missing / invisible.

Has anyone come on this and solve it because the Object Lister is critical to managing any work on Alias, if Object Lister doesn't work and all details are blank it's useless.

Note:  I've tried to repair, then reinstall it and uninstall then reinstall it.  I've tried loading it without importing past settings but that didn't appear to be available (will keep looking at that option). So now out of options.

Quick up-date after one test - closed Object Lister and relaunched it with the "Embedded" option unticked.

In that state the Object Lister has shown up correctly.

So it appears only the "Embedded" state is faulty.

SOLVED & Not Really Solved

I've not solved the issue by diagnosing the source of the error, but had to resort to deleting all old, inherited UserPrefs.

I suspect that the error has accumulated from previous installations as their old preference files were copied into the new installation, so deleting the new UserPrefs2017 folder (renamed to hide this original) and forcing Alias to start with a fresh default set-up has fixed the issue.

And took me the last few hours to recover most of my previous settings and configurations.

So that's the only solution I've been able to discover.
