2024 - stop automatic CV display when selecting a surface

Hi, Guys, as the title says, how do I stop automatic display of CV when I have a surface selected?

Hi @jakubjodlowski, my guess is you have the controls transparency on all the way and when you click on the surface the CV's show up. Instead of turning the transparency, up simply turn off the CV's.

 

1) Make sure your transparency for the controls are 0

2) Turn the CV's off

If you don't have the transparency on this is not normal behavior for Alias, and there are no preferences (in my search) that are linked to this behavior. It might be linked to a preference corruption.  Make a new profile by going to Preferences>User Preferences>Add Profile>make a new profile that do not use your current preferences to see if you are still having this issue.

I think he is rather looking for the "ObjectDisplay - Control" setting. You can set what display settings to apply for a selected object:
