Not so much an idea, but something that gives me heartburn every time I encounter. On about 90% of all our stairs, our customers require a purchased stair tread with carrier plates and some kind of abrasive nosing. As in the types made by Ohio Gratings or McNichols. Advance can give me a nice tread model - I can adjust the carrier plates to suit - but the description in the bill of materials is garbage. Much more information is needed to give the purchasing agent enough to order the proper tread, and this is always something that I have to manually add in. These kind of treads are not detailed, they are purchased!
So, I always turn the behavior off on these, but the problem there is they never appear on any lists. If I leave the behavior as is, the info on the lists is incorrect and/or is not enough information to order the tread.
Attached is a photo of a grating tread like the ones we use all the time.
