Running Dim Symbol to be part of Dimension Style, different Dim style for RD

Hi Devs, RD symbol appears even if we don't have running dimensions, we have to delete it all the time, it would save time if this symbol is part of the dimension style used if we could use a different dimension style for running dimensions. ( I realize these are probably two different items but it is just an example where we could use different dim styles) Thank you.

HI,

I expect you already know this but whether or not a running dimension symbol (for ordinate dimensions) is included in the view is part of hte DimensionStrtegy for the view.

Do you mix and match some drawings with running dims and some without on the same project? If so it would be tricky. But if you stick to one or the other within a project you could have different drawing processes using different styles with or without running dims as required.

Hi,

Yes, I know this, it was not part of Graitec’s training though.

No comment about the latter.

When we don’t have something good to say, better don’t say anything.

There are couple of issues with RD.

1. RD messes up over base plates for example, especially if base plate is larger size.

Having RD part of dim style would eliminate this.

This would require more dim styles to be used, and do believe it is not hard to do.

2. RD would appear even if no dimension is present, another Graitec’s nonsense.

But we are so used to Graitec’s nonsense that we even stopped noticing it.
