HI Iko,

It is already very easy to rename model views - just right-click on the name and select Rename.

What advantage would it give to have this in the Properties box?

The advantage would be we don’t have to activate the view in order to rename it in project explorer.

Because when we copy 50-60 views at grid lines, name us not linked to the grid, all we see is Copy of…

No way someone would guess that Copy of… means grid line X.

So poorly done.

What I propose is when we copy the model view over grid line X we type the name immediately or after copying over all grid lines, we would be able to see physically where is the view located, not guessing looking at the project explorer.

Posting at 5 am…I need a vacation.

This is an example of a past project:

How we would know where exactly the view is if we don't activate it?

Using custom command Isolate grids and model views:

Then we would go to each view and enter the grid line in properties.

AND if we could link the gruid line in detail title automatically, it will be even better (without the need to type it manually).

It is funny we can rename model views in the project explorer, but we don't know where they are if we don't activate them.

Hope this clarifies.
