Projected view in drawings

It would be so nice if we could pull off projected views or isometric views in our drawings:

Agreed!

Assume you are not just talking about simple sections, but proper views that get updated with the drawing...

Yes, not sections.

If you create sections they will be labelled as sections.

I just want proper views (without section labels).

Hello,

currently is possible to create this by a UCS view, but I need to consider two points:

  1. I need to remember to move the UCS before running the process
  2. The UCS often produce a bad result for many object.

So we need the isometric views inside the classic object views. According the American or European drawing standards.

Thanks a lot.

We is this as issue also.  It became such a time consuming process to create an Isometric view for each Marking Plan, Assembly, Part that we had to tell the fabricators that it is not viable for use to include 3D Isometric views for each Assembly / Part.

Our current practice, as we lost clients due this lack of functionality was to create processes in Navisworks to create specific views of each Phase, Assembly and Part.   This requires the fabricator to open a Navisworks model and select the required view to review in 3D.   It would be far more efficient just to have this 3D Isometric on the drawing.
