Project Folder Palette

Hello,

It would be nice if we had a palette similar to Autocad Palette, containing the project folder of the model that is currently open.

We spend probably hours per week to browse through the Windows Explorer working on 10-15 current projects, jumping from one to another answering customer's requests. If we had this palette-it will be available each time we open a model.

Hi Ilko,
maybe not 100% what you're looking for, but if you do a rightclick on the modeltab, there's the possibilty to open the dwg file path:

And I'm using the little tool "Clover" this is similar to the windows explorer, but you could have tabs and favorit links:

So in my opinion this works great.

Hi Sebastian,

Clover is handy in general...but not for this type of work. 

Making a submittal is a constant browsing through Details Folder, BOM, DSTV, etc. especially if there are multiple minor changes per fabricators' requests.

Changing couple of typical parts of a 500 dwgs project may lead to changing 30 beams, re-doing the listing, new output of nc etc.

Currently Windows Explorer works, but working on 10-12-17 projects simultaneously takes plenty of time  to go to BOM, Detail etc folders.

It would be handy, IMO, if we had a palette that opens when the model is opened. Usually it will be placed on the second or third monitor.

Just guessing...We are trying to minimize the processing time as much as we can.

And a big part of it is constant browsing through different projects and their sub-folders.

But if this is hard to do, then we will work with what we have.
