Plates numbering - Mirrored plates

Plates numbering - Mirrored plates

when the plates are numbered, two mirrored plates are identified as identical. In some cases it may be interesting that they are recognized different (for example, if the cutting direction is important). Is it possible to add a control in the numbering settings to recognize the difference in numbering or not?

Each element has a check box in front of its properties.

If you activate a property, it will be then take into account for numbering pairing.

yes I know...

but if I have a lot of plate, I must check before numbering which plates are same and which are different (mirrored). This operation it is not automaticaly and I must controll all plates...it is impossible!

In a work I place punch mark on all plates before numbering so I can have a true numeration. But it is  an hard work.

thanks

HI,

I think there is another idea to allocate "sides" to a plate, like a grating must have. This would also solve  this problem...

Christian,

" I think there is another idea to allocate "sides" to a plate, like a grating must have. This would also solve  this problem..." spot on.

It’s the same problem we had with ProSteel.

There needs to be an option (like a check box in the properties of each plate and in MT to have it permanently  on or not) to recognise each side of a plate (as required liner plates in chutes)
