One only table for all hex bolts, one for countersunk, one for TC Bolts

One only table for all hex bolts, one for countersunk, one for TC Bolts

Hello,

Currently bolts tables are spread all over grades, mixed-up diameters, bolt names, sets etc. are not the best thing in Advance Steel.

I would propose having a few major tables ready-HEX BOLTS, TC-BOLTS, COUNTERSUNK BOLTS, THREADED STUDS (+NUT/WASHER)

Grades / names will be entered by the user as part of the properties, somewhere around the 'finish', not having name to be the leading factor as we have it now.

This way will will have a few major well done tables including all washer+nut combinations, and we will not have to create new bolts

- diameters, crazy min/max grip lengths entered for each bolt etc. when they are not available for a given grade.

Also-Grades change as the industry changes, we do not have to re-create new bolts all over again, we will just enter the new grade / name.

I hope this will be very easy to be implemented.

Regards,

Ilko Dimitrov

Hello,

Per the attached screen shot below, stair tread macro for grating treads with bolted end plates does not include 3/8" bolts, 1/2" diameter is the smallest.

3/8" Bolts are an industry standard, ref. attached catalog sheet for example.

Please include 3/8" bolts for the stair grating treads macro,

Please disregard.

Desired bolts have to be created first...

Ref. previous post about grades / bolt tables etc.-it will be a time saver if we have universal tables for all types of bolts-3-4 tables,

and grades are entered manually.

This is just another example how different grades / material may lead to missing diameter or set and need to be created first.

3-4 Universal tables, when well and completely done having tapered washers, threaded studs with nut and washer etc. will work best.

Example - Hex bolt/W/N set, if the bolt is St Steel 304, nut and washer  to be automatically 304.

Weathering Type 3 bolts-nut and washer to be automatically Type 3.

I agree with Ilko on this... Crating bolts im AM can be a bit messy.. I will propose the option like in ProSTEEL where in all macros there is additional callout menu for bolts where you can define the desired bolt assembly and save this assembly for further use...
