New idea for custom connection, option to add shim plates at a connection

When designing a building witch is located in or against an existing building, sometimes we start designing end later on in the project we get some measurements from people what will show that for some reason the building is bigger at some connections. Then we need to use some shim plates. So my idea is to make an new custom connection to add shim plates at a plate and we can choose the side of the plate. Then it will built the plate around the existing plates end bolts. Then an extra option to adjust the slotted hole size in length. See images included.

I know that with the connection base plate and gable wall end plate it is allready possible. But you don't want to change an allready made connection later on in the project, then mistakes are easaly made.

Hmm the joint could be helpfull, but why not using the existing one?

The problem is, that you need two object for the existing joint "spacer plates", so my steps:

• copy the endplate
• add the plate to the bolts
• use the spacer plates to insert the shimplates
• delete the copied plate
• add shimplates to the bolts

Yes there is always a work around. But for future versions of AS a new macro would be welcome, Or is the development team fired?
