NC file naming plate thickness as Imperial

NC file naming plate thickness as Imperial

Thickness DXF Plate value to be displayed in imperial form (10mm plate) to read as 0.375 plate in the tokens for file naming.

While creating NC/DXF for plates, the piece mark as well as the quantity, and material thickness, is to be listed in the file name. The value of the thickness was displayed in METRIC.

I would like the thickness to be displayed in imperial form, 0.125, 0.25, 0.375, 0.5, 0.75 etc for plate thicknesses.

Just saying.... it would be nice.  Some customers only use imperial units!

This would avoid confusion in the shop as well as time wasted explaining the issue to the CNC operators.

Please see 1min,30 second video for clarity.

Should this only influence the Nc file or is it maybe interesting for the whole handling?

The name of the plate could be changed in this way, by changing the token for the "name".

Hey @Sebastian_Eiche  is what you're describing similar to gauge thickness? In my area anything plate less than 3/16" thick is referred to as gauge. 10ga. is next size down from 3/16", then 12ga. then 14ga. etc.. I would be interested in getting gauge thickness to replace inch representation for anything less than 3/16". My shop is used to using 10ga. for anything called out as 1/8". Mostly light gauge pour stop and stair pan parts.

No this token just change the units for example from metric to feet. You want to replace, this could maybe done with the mapping?
