Model view element- automatically layer assigned

When creating a model view, the option in the management tools default, under layer assignment , should be present to set the model view element to be placed on suitable layer.
Presently modelled on standard layer and have to change to a different layer, if required.

Thanks for taking the time to submit your idea and to everyone else for contributing your thoughts and votes. Unfortunately this idea did not get the support of the community over the last 4 months and as such we will not be pursuing it for now. Please feel free to rework and resubmit this one down the road.

Again, you are missing the point, you need to be able to turn off the model views by layers, But at present you have to manually move them.

Why not just create a link in MT to allow them to be part of the layer assignment.

@johnjmbennett it seems like an easy thing to do, however, I am not a programmer.  I also find it irritating that I have to manually change all those model view boxes onto their own layer. 😞
