In most joints the model role of the components is hard coded into the joint macro. If I open the properties of the component seperately the Model Role field is greyed and we do not have access to change the Model Role. Consider the case of drawing styles when changing the model role might be advantagious for good drawing output - to isolate a particular object for example. It is not desirable to delete the joint box to access the Model Role. My suggestion is that the object Model Role can always override the default Model Role in a joint and that the Model Role field is always available in the individual object properties.
