Miter gusset plate macro - add the control of the plate height via screws and their edge distance on main beam

Actually we cannot control the height of miter gusset plate - the macro doesn't respect the screws and their edge distance on main beam:

One must use a combination of Rectangular offset settings - where the distance of the screw on the main beam to the sheet metal edge must be additionally checked. Then the Edge cut must be used separately to complete the shape of the plate. This should work within the given macro.

Hi @bigcarl5000kg,

 

Offsets for the plate on the split beams is "rectangular" and offsets on the main beam are "polygonal" with the shape set to "2 edges corners"

Hi @mick-CNF ,

 

for the divided (secondary) beams, you can set all the distances A, B, C. This defined also the plate length.

 

For the main beam, you can set the distances E, F - this "defines" the plate height H - BUT you must always check the edge distance D, if it is enough according to the standard. 

 

Most of the time you work with standardized (norm) minimum distances and you want to enter these (or larger values). If we can define the minimum distance D, then the value of F will never be less than stated by the norm. Conversely, it means constantly checking distance D to see if it complies with the regulations.

Yeah, if it is to be definable, then meaningfully :strahlendes_Gesicht_mit_lächelnden_Augen::lächelndes_Gesicht_mit_Sonnenbrille: ... perpendicular edge distance
