Makro group

Makro group

Hi there,

I work with Advance many years. I use connection groups all the time of course. Once connections group is created, they all can be edited only through the master joint. It would be very handy if going to connection properties by clicking on a joint box, one could see that it is a group created where this one is included and how many other joints is included and would be also handy if there was a button to mark them all somehow. It happens that when one person is editing a model after another when he/she edits by accident master joint only, detailer does not know that is editing whole group and where the rest of group joints are located.

Thanks for reading, would appreciate some feedback if this is already resolved somehow.

Regards,

Garreth

100%!

I've got a feeling this has been asked before... Either way, it is really important when using master joints to know exactly what slaves it is associated with. To sound like a broken record, large jobs, lots of joints...

You can create and store a search query to search for the master of the joint group.  If you know the joint type, listed in the query drop down, you can add this to the filter, also if the joint has a name, which transfer to the group, then this can be added.

the search will locate and highlight the master joint in question, also by teeming one check you can search for all the joints within that group.
