Make Project Number available in Filename selector.

Make Project Number available in Filename selector.

Hi,

Please can you make the Project Settings > Project Number token (PROJECT_NO) available for use in the drawing Processes File Name Selector.

When a user is working on multiple projects it is a very common request to have the Project Number in the Drawing file names but currently it is not possible.

Thanks.

Hi, already asked this in other post/idea,

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/advance-steel-ideas/advance-steel-drawing-file-name-selector-tokens/i...

Map all the page header tokens to the file name selector dialog.

this idea is much older:

so the importance should be clear :grinsendes_Gesicht_mit_großen_Augen:

Maybe one day it will happen, fingers crossed.

It comes up every time , file name more critical than ever to match external document cloud based systems.

Bump...

This functionality really should be added.

Since the introduction of BIM Level 2 and the specific requirements for drawing numbering it is now an urgent request that the "drawing filename" in the Document Manager should match the string from page header.

The drawing number in the page header can easily be created such as TS2 - ASC - 06 - 01 - DR - X - 0001 but the drawing file name in the Document Manager would be 0001.dwg. The drawing filename can be changed manually of course but it would save time (and more importantly errors) if the drawing filename was created automatically.

Hi,

The Project number token is working in the Drawing Process - Filename selector, among other tokens from "Project data", including Project user attributes.

Please see this article:

Many thanks to @AleckGiles for the idea to type in and test the tokens in the Filename selector !

Many thanks to @nial.ball for push and for testing :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:
