Make a 3D CAD from Advance Steel - add parameters & relationships for 3D design

Full 3D functionality for all constructions is expected from every 3D CAD. The main principle is - define all components in the 3D area so fully geometrically, that you could change the partial / entire geometry at any time and the relationships between the objects are always preserved.

 

This BASIC 3D parametric functionality is unfortunately not available in Advance Steel - you cannot create a free, fully parametric 3D construction. We definitely want to use the parameters and relationships for spatial constructions in 3D.

 

The existing parametric modules are strongly object-specific and cannot be used for all other possible constructions.

 

We didn't want a hibrid system, we want a fully parametrically controllable system. Please, turn the Advance Steel into a 3D CAD, support our daily work and your future. You can move the Advance Steel where it really belongs.

is this not the road to inventor?

 

Also, you could do a lot coding or using Dynamo if you are able to create Dynamo nodes.

BTW, what industry are you working for? What type of constructions do you design?

Inventor is not suitable for steel construction, such a transmission and mobile tower. Good example is Tekla Structures, but .... :zwinkerndes_Gesicht:.

 

I already have experience with real 3D CAD (such as SolidWorks, ...). The 3D CAD must make it possible for the user to create free parametric constructions including a relationship in the model space. Otherwise it is not a real 3D. This would greatly simplify the work of Advance Steel
