Exploding Advance Steel drawings to AutoCad drawings

When you explode Advance Steel drawings, you end up with very large files, especially for single part drawings. If you purge the drawings, audit them and save them as dxf, then open them again and save them as dwg, you can reduce the size by more than 90%. It would make sense to implement this in the explode command.

Hi @l_schauer

What size are the drawings when exploded and are they single or multiple part drawings?

I have exploded a single part plate drawing and the size is 157kb.

Hi mick-CNF

You are right. But I have a drawing with steel plates and a drawing with steel beams. Because there is still space on both drawings, I copy everything together on one drawing. Then, in my opinion, the files become considerably larger.

hi @l_schauer,

if you always have only one drawing finally, just place all the details in one drawing, regardless of the type of object.
