Hello,
1. Currently double angle connections have an option for a "shim" plate on both sides-web doubler plate is mostly used on one side only, no need to double the labor to weld two plates if result can be achieved having one web doubler only
2. Options for clips to be shop or field-NOW THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT IS GROWING based on the fact fabricators are asking one clip to be SHOP bolted
(left or right) to the main and the other clip to be FIELD bolted. This will comply with OSHA requirements for beams installation, and ease the installation
of the secondary beam between two main beams.
3. Bolts/nuts/washers combination-per the attached screen shot 2, when we have slotted holes in clips, bolts shall have washer adjacent to slotted hole,
having one washer only, currently we have an option ALL bolts to be b/n/2w, or b/n/w.
4. Lines 1, 2 and 3 to be incorporated for skewed beam connections as well.
Udo, please have a look at this issue,we just id a larger size project that required one clip shop bolted to main and the other field bolted, and all connections had to be exploded and bolts made shop or field manually, and the washer/nut combination fixed manually.
Thank you in advance.
