I think AS would be greatly enhanced if its annotations (dimensions and leaders) could more closely mimic the behavior of AutoCAD's dimensions and multileaders. As it is currently, it is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to keep annotations consistent with my company's standard styles.
Following are my thoughts on enhancements that would give us so much more freedom and allow us to more fully control drawing presentation:
Dimensions:
- Match AutoCAD's default ClosedFilled arrowhead (see example below)
- Allow user to determine extension line linetypes and the option to turn on/off
- Have text above and below the dim line move together as a unit
- Match AutoCAD's fit options (ex: when text is moved outside, provide line; see example below)
Labels:
- Match AutoCAD's default ClosedFilled arrowhead (see example below)
- More leader attachment options (upper-left, lower-right, etc.)
- Justification options (everything is currently left-justified only)

Mismatched arrowheads (AutoCAD left, AS right) even though both use same style.

AutoCAD provides this line, AS does not.
