Creating cut views not orthogonal to the drawing sheet should be much easier

Both for GA (overview) drawings and shop drawings it is often necessary to create a cut view across an object that is not orthogonal to the drawing sheet.

In such cases, if you snap to points on the edge of an object to create the correct plane, some of the required objects are often missing from the view.

If you first change the UCS to to object, when creating a cut view the cut "box" is offset from where you are working so you cannot see what box you are selecting, so this does not work either.

I normally resort to drawing a line along the plane I need (either by snapping to points on the object or moving UCS first), then snapping to points on the line when creating the cut view (after re setting the UCS so the cut box works).

What a faff.

Easiest solution would be if the cut box still worked properly when UCS is rotated.  We could then just set UCS to object (standard Autocad UCS _ob) and create a cut view.

...or otherwise have an option within the cut view command to align the view (like we have when creating a sloped dimension).

Fundamental detailing functionality that should be easy! :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:
