construction phase and lock numbering

construction phase and lock numbering

1.) Ability to select a specific part in the model and create a construction phase.
2.) Further, this phase needs to be locked and can no longer be numbered.

3.) Set the numbering only for the model that is visible on the screen so you don't have to constantly select the part you want to number.

Thank you.

I believe your first request can be controlled through user attributes - e.g. create a "Construction Phase 1" value in an attribute.

Item 2 needs to be implemented. I'm working on a project with overlapping design and build phases, and while I'm working on it, I have just realised that sometime ago, I've carelessly deleted assembly numbering for everything - not just the item I wanted. The only way around this, is to manually re-number everything from the PDFs I created previously!

Your 3rd request isn't required. If you want to number everything on the screen, just select it with a window selection. It's more complicated if you only want a subset of what's on the screen. I use "Display objects connected in shop" and "Select marked objects" to speed up my selections.

Hello,

The first request.  It is possible, but then you have to put each part in that phase, which is not very practical and safe.
Furthermore, when you create it according to groups in "Project Explorer", you must also set an attribute for each part in the group. Because numbering does not recognize groups, only attributes.

The third requirement is more necessary than all the others.
because if you have only one part visible on the screen (phase, group, etc.), you have to select it again if you want to number only it, because if you don't do that, you can screw up the whole numbering.

Even if you turn off the groups you don't want, it numbers everything again.

This is a very important item and a big deficit

Best regards

Toni
