I have ideas as far as anticipating the renewal of Advance Steel ....
I will be crazy and I need to sleep but in my opinion, with some improvement you could become strongly competitive in the steel world ....
I personally find advance steel a really great software, but definitely not intuitive. I expect that I come from other top-tier software (tekla and prosteel)
1. Definitively more "user friendly" interface such as a Revit UI.
2. modeling mode, based on Revit principles, without having to deal with the UCS all the holy times
3. Possibility to read directly (in / out) Revit files
4. Once you delete the joint box you will loose all the intelligence from the macro ... have the ability to restore the macro even if it is deleted ....
for example in "purlins system" .... it is not possible to isolate just one element of this "purlin system" to eliminate it from the series.
I hope I can help you in some way to the development of this beautiful software!
