Advance Joint Properties Dialog Box

Advance Joint Properties Dialog Box

Is there a way to resize the Advance Steel Joint Properties Dialog Box?  I work a lot with stairs and the descriptions for Grating and Stair Tread options are so long that the full description does not show up in the small space that shows up.  Without being able to make the dialog box larger, I'm guessing at whether or not I have placed the right material in my model until after I have placed it and can check materials manually through the Advance Material Properties.

I know there are scroll bars at the bottom to scroll over and read the full description, but that's rather inconvenient.  It would be better, in my opinion, if I could either resize the entire properties dialog box to allow more space on those lines to show the full description, or if that dropdown expanded to show the full description without having to scroll horizontally.

yes this should be done...but there are ways to do it by using a few special tools.
I used in the past: Resize Enable, this works good. But I'm not sure if this is working in the actual version

Thanks for the reminder, So I tested it int he newer version. It's bit tricky to use it, but it's still working:

And I found another cool tool :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht: called Sizer by Brian Apps.
This is working with a custom command and so by opening a window, you could use a short cut for enable another size.

@Sebastian_Eiche Thanks for the response!  I'm using the 2022 version of Advance Steel.  I think we may have a slightly different setup... Looking at your screen shots and screencast it looks like you clicked on the Grating Class at the top of the dropdown list to enlarge the width of the list?  I don't have that ability.  Instead I just have a scroll bar at the bottom of the list.  I don't know if you have that scroll bar, or if it's just cut off at the bottom of your screen shots, but I still can't get mine to expand no matter where or how I click or move the mouse.

I downloaded the Sizer App (thank you for the tip) but can't get it to work for some reason...?  Looking at the user manual it looks like it only works up to Windows 7, mine is Windows 10.

That aside, it really should just be a default in the software that when a dropdown is opened it opens wide enough to read all information it contains.  I don't remember having this issue at all in the 2021 version, but I was just learning the software with that version so it may have been and I just didn't notice it as much.

the sizer app is working on win10 (I use it), it will not work in every property window, but for example in gratings it working very good. maybe you have a look here, where I also post it:
