ability to work on plane after using view box to select one

ability to work on plane after using view box to select one

if u use the view box to select a plane / to square your view to that plane

it would be far  more user friendly if we could then  work on  BOTH axis of that plane

4 out of the 6 faces of the cube can not be use to work on plane u have to go throw extra unnecessary hoopes  for this (rotate  ucs)

its little things like this that over a days work can add up to lot of wasted time , not to mention the damage to autodesk reputation as we see you dont  care for QA

Hi,

Have you tried setting the UCSORTHO variable to 1? Then whenever you select an orthographic view from the View Controls menu at the top left of the model window the UCS will change orientation to match the view.

Alternatively, you could try setting UCSFOLLOW to 1. Then whenever you move the UCS your view will immediately rotate to look square on to the new UCS.

if you are using Project explorer then double-clicking on a model view name (including levels) activates the view and changes your view orientation and UCS to match the arrow selected during the view creation.

hi Aleck thanks for reply your ucsortho  idea  works  but its not as user friendly as the view cube as u have to know the name of the view u wont and if the ucs is in a non standard/world  position  this  can be hard to just know ,were as the view cube it dosent mater wot  orientation the ucs is in u can instantly  know wot face u wont

the ucsfollow  had no efect
