Many of the customers(fabricators) of our prospects/customers ask for a viewer.
We tell them to use navis work, use 3dDWF or object enabler on Autocad to view the model.
For viewing the model Navis work and 3dDWF work fine, but the customers especially fabricators do the checking of model and the drawings.
So say a beam was modeled and detailed in Advance Steel. Our customer sends this model and drawing to his customer(fabricator) .
The fabricator doesnot have Advance Steel and he has no restriction on the software in which detailing was done as long as the software comes with a viewer. he is concerend only with the 2D drawing.
So for the fabricator its very difficult to view the model and then search for the drawing of the particular beam.
currently we have an option in Advnace Steel where in we just right click on the member and see the related drawing of the particular assembly or single part.
On same lines a viewer where in the fabricator can just right click on a memeber on the model and open the drawing, give the comments and then return the model and the drawing to his detailer.
