Very slow Performance (Scroll, orbit and more)

When the model starts to get bigger everything starts to slow down. My CPU is Ryzen 1700 and GPU 1060 6GB, RAM 16GB however AS is not utilising any to the full. Orbiting gets extremely slow and work becomes impossible, so I have to hide elements. anyone knows a solution ?

Hi,
the Ryzen 1700 should be ok, but is not the best choice. The problem is AutoCAD use one processor, it's better to have a high GHZ. Your GPU is maybe the problem, because CAD need special videocards... for this Autodesk have a site, called Certified Hardware.

Your problem with scroll, orbit and so on sounds like a graphic problem, so I would first try to install a new videocard driver, if ii's not working, try to deactivate the Hardware accelerator and have a look if this is maybe better

@Sebastian_Eiche  What are your experiences with graphic cards, do quadro series really make any difference in comparison to rtx? Quadro are much more expensive especially in Poland. Is it worth buying one if I use rtx2080? Will I see the difference? 🙂

If you have a look in this forum, you will find a few threads to this.

Does it make a difference? In my opinion yes, but you will maybe found others will give you another answer.

Gaming video cards are not the best way for CAD...my opinion.

My GHZ is about 3.6 . Also my colleges are working on AS on laptops(worse hardware and video cards) and rarely experiencing these sort of problems. I have tried 3DMAX 2019 on this PC and it was fine. From the site you attached, it seems like all NVIDIA 10 series and 20 series are not compatible
