Hello,

In last year I created many user sections on my workstation. Now I want for my co-worker to be able to use them on his computer. How can I copy or import them so he can use them? Thanks for help!

Greetings

Hi,

there is a database, where the sections are stored. The AstroProfiles.mdf is located at path:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Advance Steel 2020\...(country setting v. e. ENG)...\Steel\Data

copy this database and paste it on the same folder to your co-worker.

Pay attention, in this folder there is an AstorProfiles.ldf. Please delete these before.

What about if you only want to send them the new profiles, if they've already modified their own database?

Hi,

mhhh...

1. if your co-Worker have the dwg´s from user-Profiles saved, you can open this in your system and can create this user sections.

2. if your co-worker don´t saved the dwg´s you can try to migrate the database. But I´m not realy shure if this work, because you are only able to migrate from older versions. If you have an older version of advance Steel on your system put the database in the folder of the older version. And try to migrate:
