Stair Anchor Base Plate - Reference Point

When using the connection "Stair Anchor Base Plate" in the Connection Vault. What is the reference point for that you asked about at the beginning of the command. I was thinking that point is what is used as the reference point for the cut/nose plate part the command. That would make more sense then the default location(top of stringer at bottom elevation). I have always used the noise of my bottom tread to locate the vertical on my stringer.

I am using AdvanceSteel 2023 64-bit Build 601, Aug 12 2022.

Hi @C_Reiter

You are correct, if you dont select a reference point then all of the setting out values will run from the end of the stringer system line.

If you choose a reference point then the horizontal / vertical dimensions will use this point.

In my example below the reference point is the nose of the first tread

Thanks Rob! I overlooked changing the "Cut layout and size" from "horizontal" to "reference point". I was thinking it would automatically use the reference point.
