Is there a way to stagger a moment splice connection.

There is no option to move where the top and bottom flange connects.

I want to do it like the attached picture.

Or do i have to do all contours and bevels manually?

Hi,

No, no such macro is available, best if you use a dummy beam located at the center of the splice, and use the moment connection beam to beam, explode, and move the features left and right:

If the project has many repetitive connections fastest way would be build one and make either a custom connection between the 3 beams if sizes vary or just use the copy with adjustments command if all beams are same size.

HDH.

If it is made of steel, I can model it and detail it.

Start per the screenshot, even if it is splice connection, it has the features of the beam to beam moment connection.

Thank you.

I got it to work.

the connection only works on same size beams so, I have to do one connection per size. but its better than doing them all.
