I use split beam tool and get unexpected results. See attached screen record and AS2024 dwg

I just took a look at this. Before splitting the flat bar, go into Advance Properties of the flat bar and change the display type to Features. You'll see that your holes are defined in that "awkward" UCS plane already, so the holes are being shown correctly as they were placed. I noticed that the holes are in the same plane as the base plate for the ladder, so I believe what the likely situation here is that the macro set the UCS to there before making the holes.

This really doesn't hurt anything, your holes even with the split will still be associated accordingly, they're just in a somewhat strange spot because of the macro. For what it's worth, this is one of the many reasons I tend not to use macros - I often wind up fiddling with them (or at the very least scratching my head) to get the desired result when it would've been just as fast to draw it up manually and have 100% control.

Hi @muleman1,

it is hard coded in the macro for the ladder, a certain reference plane is given for the initial location of these "holes". In your case, this level shifts because the exit of the ladder at the top is designed as a curved variant.

Macro depends settings for the opening in the main beam :

Test a variant for the straight exit at the top - you can observe a shift in the holes:

I agree, the macro behaves somewhat "specially" in similar cases as yours, but it works - the holes are in the right place even after splitting the beam.
