Smooth edges / curves in AS 2021

Hi,

Does this happen to all who use AS2021 or it is happening only here, small holes appr. 4-5 mm do show with straight edges.

Smaller size angles with smaller fillet radius at edge and at heel appear with straight lines instead with curved convex or concave shape.

Any idea why this is happening?

Its OK for me, 1mm hole and 20x20x3mm angle.

Has your facet number changed in MT somehow?

Yes, that was it, it is strange because I did not change it when switched to AS2021.

This is a little odd, we have had a customer a couple of weeks ago where the value in 2020 was set to 1000 not 8.

In 2020 it was set to 8 and in 2021 they confirmed that they also didnt change anything.

Maybe this is something @Emanuel.Nestor could investigate?

I just tested the behavior on my side, and it seems to work as expected.

The migration process also worked well, including additional Settings Profiles.

For now I am not aware of any issue or workflow that could change the default values behind the scene.

If you get reports about something like this, please get the databases and any additional info that could help and we will investigate right away.

Something is not right probably within Autocad, ref. the screenshot below, adjusting FACET to 20 for example is generating edges that were not present in AS2020. 

Emy, What is the value of Facet in your MT.

The default value is 8 (this is what I had initially).

Then I tested with different values (4, 17, 1000), including different settings profile migrated from 2020 to 2021.

Regarding the number of edges for holes: I get the same behavior in both versions when set the value to 20.

I did not find a change in this area, from the development point of view.

Do you get different results / number of edges for holes in 2020 and 2021 ?

I think there is a variable within AutoCad changed for some reason on one workstation, my colleague does not have the same issue with AS2021.

Probably uninstall and install again will fix this.
