Slotted Gusset Plate

I have a bolted vertical brace connection to a column using the "Gusset Plate to Column and Base Plate" connection as shown below. 

Is there a way to slot only one of the holes instead of both?  The slot option forces me to slot both holes in the gusset plate.

I want to only slot one of the holes as shown in the fab detail.

I don't believe this can be done in the connection tool. I can think of 2 ways to deal with this:

1. Remove the joint box around the connection, split the bolt group and then change the hole properties of the bolt you would want to change.
2. Create the connection as a custom connection. Do the changes as described in item 1, save the connection and use this in your drawing. At least you will have some control of your joint afterwards.
