Cannot get nelson studs to fully display with the head on the stud either in the model or in the drawings. Please help.

Hi, in my experience if the length you require is not listed in the database it will appear with no head. You will need to go to management tool, shear studs then go to type you use and add the length you need in the last tab. Tomorrow I will add some screenshots for you, hope this helps

You have to use the length that Nelson stud has, so if you want a 6" stud you might have to enter stud length as 6 1/4. The length in the data bases are the lengths before welding.

I used the nelson H4L type which isn't the default but I used the size in the database,  nothing different.

I had this same problem. You need to put in the lengths exactly. Here is a list I found on Nelson Stud Welding website. Try putting in 5 5/16" instead of 5 1/8" for the 1/2" H4L.  Its weird, 5 1/4 wont work, 5 5/16 will, 5 3/8 won't.  I printed this out and put it in my Advance Steel notes. Ron
